Thanks for the link. My numbers guy is looking into that link.. I read the complete article and it appears that they don’t even know the difference between deficits and debt. The article from which you reported stated that the national debt was increased by an average 1.4 trillion per year during Bush years and that there was no debt when Bush took over.
Actually the debt was 5.6 trillion in 2000. The numbers stated in that article are, at best, suspect..
I would like again to ask if we could use the debt from the debt clock, including unfunded liabilities as a more reasonable number. This is the debt and unfunded liabilities per citizen. That number at the time I type this is 397,072.
So we would like to change the 850,000 to 400.000. Still a scary number. Please let me know, even if by email, by
    Monday.. Thank you so much…

The debt clock deals with current liabilities. It’s a snapshot of the current situation. The author of the article is dealing with projections. If the current liabilities (what you and I owe) are $400,000 per person, it’s obvious that they will be higher for the next generation. The unfunded liabilites on the debt clock are ever-rising.

The author simply divides the $50 trillion in projected unfunded liabilities and divides by projected population. That’s the key, and where the $850,000 figure comes from. Everything else is irrelevant to the point.

The National Center for Policy Analysis projects unfunded liabilities at $107 trillion, so $50 trillion is actually conservative (scary), only considering social security and health care liabilities. http://www.ncpa.org/pub/ba662

      • Dave Schumacher says:

OK, I get your point. But, using only 74 million as to whom the debt applies can be countered by the left. Using the current debt and unfunded liabilities divided by all citizens is a much more reasonable number. This debt then, at the moment, is shared by all citizens, not just the young. And we do not know into the future what will happen. Using a
current number shared among all Americans can be easily defended.

    Hi –
We’d like to do a freedom board but for the past few days the design section has not been available. We’d like to get a copy of the baby with “Welcome to the World, You owe the federal govt $850,000″ so we can get it to a printers ASAP. Let me know if this is possible. Love your work! Thanks…In liberty, Steph

  5. Ralph Dubey says:

We are wanting to have a vinyl printed from MMT. This is a question they sent us.

    Ralph,

The file came in as RGB. When we convert it CMYK there will most likely be a color shift.

    Please send new CMYK file.

    Thanks,

    Jen

Can you help me with this?

This went up today near blue Seattle on the busiest highway (99):

  7. Brian Horak says:

Can I get any of the these signs for my lawn 2×4 feet or bigger 4×6 feet? I we can’t get them along our highways, then let us blanket them across the county on a lawns. This would be a great fund raising tool to get more signs within a given area.

    • admin says:

Brian, because the artwork is designed for a 14 x 48 billboard, it does not scale well for lawnsigns. The images can be scaled down to 24″ x 7″, but this is right between two standard lawn sign sizes — 24″ x 6″ and 24″ x 9″. If you are willing to work with a sign producer, they may be able to make the artwork fit for you. Here’s a link to an online sign producer http://www.yardsignwholesale.com/. Good luck.

  8. Sherman says:

I’m with the Dallas Tea Party and would like to know if it’s possible to have the Dallasteaparty.org link put on the bottom of your artwork if we decide to obtain one of your designs for instatllation on a local billboard?

  9. Bruce says:

Saw three of your brilliant billboards on my way south in MN to the Twin Cities. WOW! The two, first of President Reagan, and then the second with Obama’s quotation are extreemly effective together. THANK YOU VERY MUCH. I agree with Brian that these would also be very effective as lawnsigns….. Your work should be utilized in every mode we can, of course in a tastefull, professional manner as you are doing….THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU

  10. Bruce says:

http://www.shindigz.com is a site where you can order banners in different sizes, you can customize your own design, etc. Don’t know if this is proper to recommend them, but can’t imagine that they wouldn’t print up something like these in a workable size. I have ordered banners from them before, and they are really priced right, very good quality, printed in high color on thick plastic, and even come with gromets for mounting. Think they would be great and heavy duty for outside or inside use.
Is this something that the administrators would approve of?

  11. Michael Rogers says:

Since when is this a Chrisitan County. This was country was founded by people escaping persecution and seeking freedom. You billboard basically states everyone else should get out. If you feel you want a Christian Country then go to Rome or something where it is but this country is not a Christian Country. Read our history and the seperation of church and state. YOu are so anti everything you don’t even know what you are for.

  12. Bruce says:

“America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves.” – Abraham Lincoln

Michael – that was quite biased and strong…….I think Abraham Lincoln hit it on the nose – also Ronald Reagan. Yes…separation of church and state. But…..we certantly have lost our focus on VALUES – FAMILY – and what our country was founded on….. I certantly do not think that those billboards say everyone else should get out. Maybe you should review most of the Islam countries ideals, and rethink about what made AMERICA the greatest country on earth.

  13. Bill V. says:

shame on all of you for not supporting our President. You all didn’t seem to mind when we went to war, raised the debt(tax decreases) and killed innocent people in a foreign country. May God have mercy on all of you!

  14. Karen says:

Posting billboards with half-truths and deceptive information will not help this country. It only makes people fearful, and fear is a real threat to our liberties.

  15. Monica says:

I would like to be able to share the picture of President Obama shreading the constitution on my facebook page, but I am unable to share it. Is there a way I can do this. Thanks.

  16. Judy Nicholls says:

I would like to send a suggested graphic but can’t figure out how to attach a file.

  17. Larry Brooks says:

I plotted on a graph “State-by-State Obama Approval Ratings” vs “State-by-State Debt” from available Web sources; the plot was a curve with some scatter but with a very strong correlation. I think this might make a good billboard message. How can I submit the Excel data or the plot for consideration? Thanks.

  18. Christopher says:

This billboard that quotes Obama (“We are no longer a Christian nation”) is reprehensible. It removes the critical context of Obama’s quote in a blatant attempt to distort his beliefs. In fact, Mr. Obama said the following: “We are no longer a Christian nation, at least not JUST: we are also a Jewish nation, a Muslim nation, and a Buddhist nation, and a Hindu nation, and a nation of non-believers.” This is not a controversial statement; it is a simple fact, and one that Mr. Obama cited as evidence that the freedoms upon which this country was founded are alive and well – despite attempts by those of you who would have only your own freedoms protected.

Ironically, the image you chose to likewise distort – that of the Statue of Liberty – is a symbol of American’s tolerance and acceptance of all cultures and religions. I am certain that the values celebrated by that monument will outlast your deceitful billboards and the small-minded sentiments that produced them.

  19. Christopher is right says:

Christopher is absolutely correct. You are playing dirty by removing the precious context of POTUS’ quote. And the United States has never been a “Christian” nation — the whole idea of keeping church and state separate entities is to prevent the United States from becoming a THEOCRACY. It appears to me that your organisation is quite bent on making the United States a theocracy, and therefore, that’s REALLY destroying the Constitution you supposedly hold so dear. Cheers.

  20. Christopher says:

People who claim that we were founded as a Christian nation are correct, in a sense – but in order to make that claim meaningful, they must ignore the fact that we were Christian only by default, since almost all inhabitants in the 17th and 18th centuries happened to be Christian. There were few or no Hindus, Buddhists or Muslims here, and only a small number of Jews. The founding fathers, though, understood that freedom of religion is exactly that, and did not limit that freedom to the various denominations of Christianity.

It’s worth noting here that the words “God,” “Creator,” “Bible,” “Christianity” and “Jesus” do not appear in the Constitution – none of them, and not once. It only mentions religion at all in exclusionary terms. And the Treaty of Tripoli, written during George Washington’s administration and signed during John Adams’, stated, “the United States is not in any sense founded on the Christian religion.”

  21. Ichaukan says:

I like the one with the black guy putting the Constitution through the paper-shredder. Only one complaint about it though, you guys left off the part that says “Patriot Act”.

Might help a little with the ‘ol credibility.

  22. John says:

I am writing in response to a billboard I saw along I-75 near Wolverine, MI. The billboard insinuates that a baby born today will owe the government $850,000 in taxes. Not sure how you came up with that figure houwever I find it very misleading, the current debt of 14.7T / 300M people results in less than $50,000. Not to say that this is not a staggering figure becaues it is, however I find your figure very misleading and dangerous.

First all, we are in danger of going broke at $50k, we surely wouldn’t be in business even if that only doubled. But secondly and most importantly it feeds the public with mis-information. To me, the biggest danger that this country faces is the lack of truth. I am no scientist but the biggest dilema facing the world today may be global warming, the politicians have taken that debate over from the scientists. I listen to many economists who have repediatly stated that the recovery from The Great Recession will be a jobless one however the politicians have taken over that debate also. People would rather listen to rhetoric that furthers their cause rather than the truth, something that may question their beliefs. With all this mis-information out there, it is impossible for us to progress as a nation.

In principal, I like what you do, bringing these issues into focus. However it must be done accurately in such a way that it educates the public. The billboard I refer to does not do that and I implore you to either correct it or remove. The bad news is bad enough as it is.

  23. Thinking about quitting then this will help you out big time says:

You made some first rate points there. I seemed on the web for the problem and found most individuals will go together with with your website.
